Yang Song Quan was born in Chenjiagou village, Henan county, China, the village were the Chen style taijiquan was created.
He started to learn taijiquan with 4 under the guidance of his grandfather Chen Zhaopi, so that at 12 he knew the first 2 taolu and the 5 basic weaqpons and tuishou (push hands)
With 16 he was representing his teacher in Henan, Shanxi, Shandong, Sichuan, Yunan were he taught Chen taijiquan.
Begining with 1989 he was invited to teach in USA, Sweden, Germany Romania etc.
He also studied the methods of the Chinese Traditional Medicine (MTC)

Chen Tai Chi Lineage Chen Wangting → Chen Zhaopi

1. **Chen Wangting (陈王庭, 1580–1660)** – Founder of Chen-style Tai Chi.
2. **Chen Suole (陈所乐)** – Son or close disciple of Chen Wangting (sources vary).
3. **Chen Jingbo (陈敬伯)** – Key figure in transmitting the art.
4. **Chen Bingwang (陈秉旺)** – Continued the lineage.
5. **Chen Changxing (陈长兴, 1771–1853)** – Systematized Chen Tai Chi and taught Yang Luchan (founder of Yang-style).
6. **Chen Gengyun (陈耕耘)** – Son of Chen Changxing, skilled in martial arts.
7. **Chen Yanxi (陈延熙, 1848–1929)** – Known for refining the „small frame” (Xiaojia).
8. **Chen Fake (陈发科, 1887–1957)** – Famous for spreading Chen Tai Chi to Beijing.
9. **Chen Zhaopi (陈照丕, 1893–1972)** – Revived Chen Tai Chi in Chen Village after its decline; taught many modern masters.
